Matches
Members are invited to participate in the following indoor events. These enable members to meet and get to know other members which often leads to new friendships.
Indoors

These are friendly games of bowls where you can make new friends and learn and extend your knowledge of the game. To participate, add your name to the lists on the notice boards under Men's Events and Mixed Events. Arrive in good time before the start and pay £2.20 (includes 20p towards the Top Rink Award). The teams will either be drawn or selected by the organiser. You will play three sets of six ends, changing rinks after each set. This takes between 2 and 3 hours.

Friendly Inter Club Matches

| Mixed | These are held approximately 15 times each season on Saturdays at 18.30. They usually conclude with a fish and chip supper. The overall cost is £7.00. | Ladies | Matches against visiting Clubs form the Home Counties are usually played on Monday afternoons commencing at 14.00. These conclude with a 2 course meal and the fee to include the meal is £7.00. Members wishing to play should enter their names on the team sheets displayed on the notice board. |
| Men | Matches against visiting Clubs from Home Counties are usually played on Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday afternoons commencing at 14.00. These conclude with a 2 course meal and the fee to include the meal is £7.00. Members wishing to play should enter their names on the team sheets displayed on the notice board. |
General play

Competitions

| Ladies | Club competitions are held between October and April. They include Singles, Pairs, Triples and Fours. Members wishing to play should complete an entry form which is provided with your application for renewal of membership in August of each year. |
| Men | Club competitions are held in the New Year for singles, Handicapped Singles, Mutual Pairs, Drawn Triples and Mutual Triples. Members wishing to play should complete an entry form which is displayed on the appropriate notice board in November of each year. |
| Mixed | Club competitions are held from the beginning of December through to the end of the season for Mixed Pairs. Members wishing to play should complete an entry form which is displayed on the appropriate notice board. |
| Open | Competitions for Triples and Fours are open to members of our Club and other Clubs during the season. Members wishing to play should complete an entry form which is displayed on the appropriate notice board. |

Leagues
Men - Three League teams play in the Brighton, Hove & District League on most Tuesdays during the season commencing at 18.00.
Friendly Inter Club Matches
Ladies Matches against local clubs are usually played on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Members wishing to play should enter their names on the team sheets displayed on the notice board. Tea and biscuits are usually provided during the afternoons.
Men’s matches against local Clubs and those from further a field are usually played on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons. Members wishing to play should enter their names on the team sheets displayed on the notice board. Tea and biscuits are usually provided during the afternoons but two course meals may be provided when the teams travel a significant distance. Members wishing to play should enter their names on the team sheets displayed on the notice board.
General play
Members may use the rinks whenever there is no match and rinks are not booked for competitions.
Competitions
Ladies - Club competitions are held between May and September. They include singles, handicapped singles and pairs. Some members also enter county and national competitions. Men - Club competitions are held between May and September. They include singles, handicapped singles and pairs. Some members also enter county and national competitions.
The Club holds an Open Tournament in the last week of July for ladies and men. Members wishing to compete in singles, pairs and triples should complete an application form.
